Anita is a member of the International Association of Cooking Professionals (she took her test the same day as Julia Child) and has been a top instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education for 20 years, which is ranked the nation’s top vocational school by the IACP. She has also taught children’s cooking classes, and helped establish a cooking school in Budapest with Hungarian TV star Judit Stahl.
Her passion for cooking extends beyond teaching to a greater desire to help others. Anita set up emergency food services for 9/11 relief workers and organized food deliveries to fire houses in the area during the aftermath. Anita is also an active supporter in encouraging children and young people to live healthier and more active lifestyles.
Anita enjoys traveling and resides with her husband Steve on Long Island, NY. They have two grown children and three grand children.
